This year’s Spring Fling benefited again from the lovely NC weather! Our family friendly spring picnic had the usual fajita bar, beer from local breweries and four flavors of delicious, local Maple View Farm ice cream. Organized by the Office of Postdoctoral Services and DUPA.
Diversity Postdoc Alliance
Are you interested in broadening your postdoc experience at Duke by networking with individuals from diverse backgrounds i.e. from underrepresented groups, international, and/or from different fields of research? With the help of Duke University Postdoc Association, a new organization titled Diversity Postdoc Alliance is a group for just that…diversifying your network of colleagues. If this organization appeals to you, come out and join Duke’s Diversity Postdoc Alliance at the 7th Annual Postdoc Spring Fling on Friday May 17, 4-6 p.m. on the LSRC front lawn (In case it rains: LSRC Hall of Science).
Reagent Swap Mailing List
Are you looking for a plasmid? An order for a critical buffer was delayed and you need a small sample now? Looking for an infrared camera? Duke postdocs and other laboratory workers can now look for and share reagents, protocols, and scientific expertise through the Reagent Swap mailing list. By subscribing to it, you can post requests for reagents, advice, equipment sharing, et cetera, and help others with your expertise.
The list is managed by DUPA; more info can be found here.
